Offered here is a group of Antique Civil War Era Documents;

  • Robert Porter vs. City of Williamsport of a Plea on Debt on Bounty Bonds, March 22, 1869, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania,  .  This could be a suit for non-payment of a Bounty Bond from the War.  Does not specifically state so however.  As we all know, Bounty Bonds were supposed to be paid to substitutes during the Civil War.
  • Suit for Robbery of a Gold Watch & Chain valued at $200, 1865 by H. Mudge Admin. against Nelson M. Brewer and Susannah Brewer his wife.  Lycoming County Pa., Court of Common pleas, November 16, 1865 - Suit was settled with costs by the parties. Two documents
  • Formal request for Admission the The Bar to practice law of John Entermarks, dated August 16, 1864 to the Judges of the Court of Common Pleas by James Armstrong, Robert Fleming & G. W. Youngman Esq., Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. Very cool and scarce document.  I have never had one in the past. What a great collectible for an attorney's office.  Frame it and hang it on a wall in the office.
