Offered here is a vintage childrens World War II picture book: "Scuttlebutt Goes To War", As Suggested by Lieutenant Dwight W. Follett, U.S.N.R. to Margaret Friskey, illustrations by Lucia Patton, Wilcox and Follett Publishing Company, Chicago, 1943. Pictorial paper covered cardboard with blue background and red highlights. A few very tiny rubs along the edges and at the extremities - rubbing and chip at the spine heel and slightly at spine head. DJ repeates the design and has tiny tears at the spine head and heel gutter areas and at the top and bottom of the flap folds - spine head of DJ has a small pieces of acid free tape on the inside. Pages are nice and white. This is a very scarce book, especially in this condition!!!
