The United States Wheel March, Presented with the Compliments of Bancroft The Magician, 1895

Offered here is a wonderful vintage Magic Related large format sheet: "The United States Wheel March", "Presented with the Compliments of Bancroft The Magician", by Charles Smith Tarbox,  The Chicago Stamping Co., Publ., 1895.       Frederick Bancroft whose real name was Frederick Bronson, and was by profession a Dentist, lived for many years in New York, Chicago, and St. Paul. From his boyhood he had always been interested in the performance of tricks. About 18 years ago, when but a more lad, he made his first appearance on the stage as a boy magician under the name of DeCastro, at the old Olympic Theatre, Clark Street, Chicago.  He was born January 22, 1867; he died in Charleston, South Carolina on September 26, 1897, of Typhoid Fever.  Front cover has a likeness of Bancroft - the back cover has a wonderful add for the United States Wheel Bicycle.  There is a closed tear at the center right edge - repaired on the back - slightly chipped at the bottom right corner.  this is a very scarce original piece.
