Offered here is a group of Antique Civil War Era Documents;

  • Robert Porter vs. City of Williamsport of a Plea on Debt on Bounty Bonds, March 22, 1869, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania,  .  This could be a suit for non-payment of a Bounty Bond from the War.  Does not specifically state so however.  As we all know, Bounty Bonds were supposed to be paid to substitutes during the Civil War.
  • Suit for Robbery of a Gold Watch & Chain valued at $200, 1865 by H. Mudge Admin. against Nelson M. Brewer and Susannah Brewer his wife.  Lycoming County Pa., Court of Common pleas, November 16, 1865 - Suit was settled with costs by the parties. Two documents
  • Formal request for Admission the The Bar to practice law of John Entermarks, dated August 16, 1864 to the Judges of the Court of Common Pleas by James Armstrong, Robert Fleming & G. W. Youngman Esq., Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. Very cool and scarce document.  I have never had one in the past. What a great collectible for an attorney's office.  Frame it and hang it on a wall in the office.
  • Formal reqest for Admission the The Bar to practice law of H. H. Cummins, dated August 15, 1864 to the Judges of the Court of Common Pleas by James Armstrong, Robert Fleming & G. W. Youngman Esq., Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.  Very cool and scarce document.  I have never had one in the past. What a great collectible for an attorney's office.  Frame it and hang it on a wall in the office.

Offered here is a group of anquitarian vintage collectible non-sports card: Seven card group,  Cowboy Series:  "At The Theatre, Picking Up The Handerchief, Playing Crack Loo, Helping the Sheriff, Making A Tenderfoot Dance, The Maverick, Queen of The Range" , advertising for Hassan Corktip Cigarettes, American Tobacco Company, Factory Number 649, and dating from about 1910. Each card measures 2 1/2" x 3 1/4",  has minor creases, corners slightly rounded etc.

  1. Falling Star A Reverie, by Benj. Richmond, Exlipse Publ. Co., Philadelphia, Publisher, 1903.  What a GREAT cover with and image of Princess Falling Star by Starmer.   A nice sheet with minor stressing along the edges with a few small closed edge tears and some dirtiness.   
  2. Hiawatha, A Sumemr idyl, by Neil Moret, Whitney-Warner Publ. Co., Detroit, 1901.  A nice sheet with minor stressing along the edges with a few small closed edge tears and tiny chips.  What a great cover.
  3. Indianola, by S. R. Henry and D. Onivas, Jos. W. Stern, New York Publisher, 1917.  What a GREAT cover of an Indian Chief by Starmer!   A nice sheet with very minor stressing along the top edge.
  4. My Own Iona (Moi-One-Ionae), "Introduced by Brice and king - photos of them on the cover", lyric by L. Wolff Gilbert, music by Anatol Friedland and Crey Morgan Jos. W. Stern Co., New York, 1916.  Some minor corner stressing.

Any white lines on the scan are reflections on the plastic covering the sheets.

  •  Webster's Calendar or the Albany Almanac - 1878, No. 95", This particular copy is in good condition - but it is missing the covers - it was given by an unknown Schenectady N.Y. business  There are line adds for J. G. Cotrell, Albany at the top of several pages, and for Craft, Wilson & Gross on several, There is an article on an early Schenectady Pastor Bararous Freeman, another about the Saratoga Monument and a story titles: "The Little Honey Thieves".  There is an illustrated add for J. Van Wormer & Co. Stoves on the third page.    
  • Webster's Calendar or the Albany Almanac - 1875, No. 92", This particular copy is in good condition - but it is missing the covers and several pages have tears and edge chips. There are line adds for for Craft, Wilson & Gross, Albany at the top of several pages, an illustrated Van Wormen & McGarvey Base Burner heating stove and other adds.  
  • Webster's Calendar or the Albany Almanac - 1877, No. 94, This particular copy is in good condition - but it is missing the covers - it was given by an unknown Schenectady N.Y. business  There are line adds for for Craft, Wilson & Gross, Albany at the top of several pages, There is a great article with an illustration,  on the Schuyler Mansion, a story of several pages, one on Indian Summer, , "The Struggle of Adam Poe" with an indian illustration, and the last page has one, "Yankee Doodle In The Albany Pasture", which describes the events leading up to the writing of the song as taken from an old issue of the "Albany Statesman".  
  • Webster's Calendar or the Albany Almanac - 1869, No.86", This particular copy is great condition with some edge stressing at the bottom and the corners - the spine is stitched - the covers are missing.  It was given by and unknown, Schenectady, N.Y. company.   There are line adds along the bottom of the pages for L. A. Young, Schenectady, there are adds for Sanders Jewlers, Schenectady,  Griffes & Barhyte, Schenectady, Dr. Herrick's, Strong & Douw Agricultural Implements, Albany, and other adds.  There are some great stories and articles of interest, including one: "Captain Kidd In Albany", "Mermaids", "Total Eclipses of the Sun" and others.
  • Webster's Calendar or the Albany Almanac - 1866, No.83, This particular copy is in great condition but is missing the covers.  Inside are stories and articles of interest all illustrated, including: "The Cork Leg Or The Marvelous History of Mynheer Vn Wodenblock", "Superstitions, Signs, Wonders, and Tokens, and "Anecdoites Of Fat People", and others.
  • Webster's Calendar or the Albany Almanac - 1867, No.84, This particular copy is good condition with the covers missing.   There are some great stories and articles of interest, all illustrated, including: "High Rock Spring, Saratoga" illustrated with lithography with Indians, "A Dutch Village In Olden Time", another "The Bear Hunters",  and others. 
  • Webster's Calendar or the Albany Almanac - 1861, No. 78, This particular copy is in good condition but the covers are missing.  There are several adds including; a "J. C. Young", Albany add for Singer Sewing machines and Dr. L. R Herrick's Pills, Albany, also a full page add for "John H. Hidley Music Publ.", Albany.   Inside are stories and articles of interest all illustrated, including a great story, "Steam Toys" with illustrations, Guttenberg's Statue At Mayence, and others.

  1. Two Onondago Silver Mfg Co. XXX, spoons.  One very ornate type and one that looks like a tea spoon - both the same pattern.  I know absolutely nothing about flatware - do not know the pattern name or the age.  Do not know if they are sterling or plated - not stated on either.    
  2. Two Small Table Knives -1847 Rogers Bros. Warranteed, on the handle, each about 6 1/4" long.  I know absolutely nothing about flatware - do not know the pattern name or the age.  Do not know if it is sterling or plated - not stated.
  3. Pie Fork - On the back of the handle is has Pat. April 1706  Wm A Rogers A1  (R) XXX".  Very ornate funny fork.  I know absolutely nothing about flatware - do not know the pattern name or the age.  Do not know if it is sterling or plated - not stated.
  4. Six Forks & Four Table Knives - M. Du Bois.  Ornate handle - knife blades have "M. Du Bois Special" on the blade.  I know absolutely nothing about flatware - do not know the pattern name or the age.  Do not know if it is sterling or plated - not stated.
