Offered here is a wonderful small vintage children's picture book with clowns: "Circus January", by Elizabeth Billings Stuart, wonderful full-color pictures by Ella Dolbear Lee, Whitman, 1916. Paper covered illustrated boards - picture is repeated as frontis. Corners lightly rubbed etc. Cover is put on backwards (factory mistake). Wonderful inside with white pages and bright colors.

Paper pictorial boards - surface paper at spine chipped on the front edge and mostly missing along the back gutter. Wonderful lithography inside - see scan for a sample. Undated but likely 1900 or before. About 5 1/4" X 6 7/8", 24 pp. Name written on last blank endpage.

Offered here is a vintage children's picture book: "Jumbo Story Book For Boys", Roe, E. T., Editor, M. A. Donohue, Chicago; A collection (from authentic sources) of exciting adventures, heroic deeds and self denying acts of bravery, No. 270, ca 1913-1915 (Wright Bros. Story at end of book), about 7 1/32" X 9 3/4". Pictorial paper boards with light blue cloth binding - very minor stressing and bumps at the extremities. Surface paper chip at the top right corner, pages tanned - 1/2 worm hole just about at the center of the bottom edge. A really nice Donohue!!!

Orange cloth boards, black titles and decoration on cover - wonderful illustrated endpages. Rubs at extremities some rub-through. Line drawb illustrations with shades of Black, White and Red, and full-page color illustrations. This is a wonderful Book.

Colored frontis and numeorus B & W illustrations throughout - including approximately 18 glossy B & W tipped in illustrations. A nice book!
Offered here is a vintage children's McLoughlin Bros. picture series book "Nursery Rhymes", "Uncle Dick Series", Linen, McLoughlin Bros., New York, 1860's. The glued paper front and back paper covering are heavily chipped and stressed - from use over the years. They were glued to linen. Absolutely wonderful colored lithography inside. The Uncle Dick and Aunt Matilda series books are very hard to find today. I have an Aunt Matilda book listed seperately.

Offered here is a vintage children's hardcover: "The Bible Gallery Illustrated" by Gustave Dore, With Memoir of Dore and Descriptive Letter-Press by Talbot W. Chambers, D.D., Cassell Publishing Co., New York, originally 1880, but the memoir by Talbot includes Dore' death in 1883. Gilt worn from title on spine, 100 pictures are very good. unpaginated - looks like a 150-200 - gilt edges, about 9 1/2" X 11 1/2". Brown illustrated and embossed, with gilt and black; with angels and Adam and Eve expulsion from the Garden of Eden on front, cloth boards and clothbound - In GREAT shape with rub throughs at the corners - back hinge torn - spine thus a little loose!!!

Robin's egg blue hardcover light run at extremities. Both a story book for children and an authoritative handbook on bird identification. 32 Fuertes full color plates. Former owner"s inscription and address marked out on front free endpaper.
Offered here is a vintage, antique McLoughlin Bros., children's picture book, The Children in the Woods", "Aunt Matilda Series", McLoughlin Bros. & Co., Publ., N.Y., 1860's. The story is complete, with six full-color pages, including the center fold - both colored. The centerfold pages were stuck together at one time I think - they each has some light surface paper missing from being pulled apart. A search of the internet shows that all of the series listed on the back are from the 1860's. The book has stressing on the covers with some right edge tears etc., some substance on the back cover.
Offered here is a vintage children's large picture book, "The Soldier Picture Book", by Genral Warfare, M. A. Donohue & Co., Publ. Dated 1911 on the cover - has a very early bi-plane with men dropping bombs by hand. Wonderful full-color plates and illustrations throughout.
Offered here is a vintage Uncle Tom's Cabin picture book: "Uncle Tom's Cabin Picture Book", Graham & Matlack, #0114, New York, Publ., 10 pp, 1913. What a wonderful cover lithograph! The text and lithography includes the inside of each cover. At least 1/2 of the pages have wonderful full-color lihtography - most 2 lithos on each page. The rest have B & W lithpgraphy with two images on each page. The covers are detached and there is light stressing and tiny chips at the extremities - more at the bottom right corner. It is about 7 1/2" X 14 1/4" in size
