Offered here is a vintage children's Harrison Cady picture book hardcover: "A Great Feast On Butternut Hill", by Harrison Cady, Whitman Publishing Co., Racine, Wis. 1929; First Edition. 24mo, 4 3/4" x 5 1/2", bound in full color pictorial paper boards, in wonderful condition with extremely minor 'dings' at the extremities, 26pp, 12 full color and 14 line drawings in blue, full color end papers. With the original Dust Jacket, which repeats the lithography of the covers. Veryt scarce book, especially with the DJ. The jacket has rubs at the extremities and along the flap folds with stressing and small tears. The inside back cover coms with a "This Book Is Mine" name plate that has a name written in that was partially erassed. What a wonderfuls carce little book - about 4 7/8" X 5 3/8" in size. Where you gonna find another????

Wonderful color photo covers - great for display! Black and White photos inside. Has a couple of tiny chips in surface paper along the spine. Great stuff!!
Offered here is a vintage book "At The Zoo", W.W. & Irene Robinson - 1940 - with Great Dust Jacket with Giraffe on it. DJ image is repeated on the paper covered boards. Black cloth spine. DJ has pieces missing from spine area and multiple chips along the edges. The cover corners are rubbed, but it is wonderful. Inside cover has date (1947) and message from visit to Bronx Zoo. Womderful illustrations inside - many colored and others B & W. 9 1/4" X 12 1/4" in size

Offered here is a vintage children's hardcover poetry and story book, "Chatterbox Child", by Kate Cox Goddard, Platt & Munk Co, Inc., New York, 1937, First Edition, 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall, very good or better condition. Blue illustrated cloth cover with corner bumps and very slight wear. Same at spine top and bottoms. Name written on first blank page. A collection of appealing poems which children love to read and will please grown-ups as well. There is at least one verse for daily activities performed by kids. Charming b&w drawings throughout by an unidentified artist. Dust Jacket is yellow with Multicolored illustrtaion of two children, decorative spine edge of jacket. Chips and tears at flap bends and at spine top edge. Over-all light dirtiness on yellow jacket.
Offered here is a great old vintage children's picture story book; "Dick Whittington and His Cat - Marcia Brown - 1950", New York: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1950.; First Weekly reader Edition.. Brown and white pictorial cloth with black lettering on spine and cover. This title was a 1951 Caldecott Honor Book. Every page has powerful linoleum block illustrations in black and gold to accompany the story of this ambitious and accomplished lad from ancient London and his pussycat companion. This book is fine or better with a hint of scuff at the extremities and a bump at the spine head. Brilliant white and black and gold on cover and inside book!!! Really a nice one!!

Offered here is a copy of "Find the Animals Story", by Dorothy King, illustrated by Joseph Sica, Harcourt, Brace and Company. publ. 1941. Paper covered boards with pictures of zoo animals. Illustrated with eight loose cardboard animals, in which each must be put into their proper cage. This copy has only 4 present. Colored illustrations throughout - some diritness and a couple of crayon marks. Some surface paper missing from spine. Corner rubs and edge chips too. There is an envelope in the back to put the animals into. Each page has a cage with clear plastic to place the animals into. This is an extremly rare book in good condition.

The inside lithography is virtually the same as the cover - with different scenes. The covers have light stressing at the extremities and a couple of chips at the top edge.. This is about 10" X 14" in size. Illustrations by CM Burd.

Found in an old country farm house attic/crawlspace - thus light musty attic smell.
