Offered here ia a vintage and very scarce antique U.S. children's magazine, "The Little Corporal For Boys and Girls", Conducted by Emily Huntington Miller, April 1874, Vol XVIII, No 4, John E. Miller, Publisher, Chicago - What wonderful cover lithography by Lauderbach. These have wonderful stories for children, several with wonderful lithography. The frontis is titled "The Two Friends" and has a little girl with her dog - see the scans on a couple more. Stories in this issue are by George Huntington, Ruth Kenyon, Mary E. C. Wyeth, Marion Dresser, Mrs. Julia P. Ballard, Mary H. Krout, Emily Huntington Miller and many more. One by Lucia Chase Bell titled "The Dolly That Went To War", with a litho of a little girl and her doll. These are very, very tough to find in any condition. Remember, they are 130 years old!!!! This one is in great condition with extremely minor stressing at the extremities. The inside is perfect. There are four or five wonderful lithographs that go with the children's stories. Great stuff!!! You will be hard pressed to find more copies of these - especially in this good condition.
