A unique book with interesting pictures and strategies on how the game is played, Note basketball is spelled with a hyphen. Includes instruction on the one handed shoulder pass and the one handed shot which should not be attempted beyond the foul line. History of the game.

A really nice sheet with a tiny chip at the bottom left corner and a name and address written at the top right.

It contains all of the typical articles of interest and serial stories, the feature article about China, "China's No.1 White Boy", William Henry Donald and Chaing Kaishek - with photos and another baseball article about the National league becoming a second class league. It has all of the typical great colored adds including a Great Chevrolet add, Life Savers, a two page Packard add, and many more. There is an absolutely AWESOME back cover Wheaties add featuring a dozen Major League baseball players - almost all Hall of Famers today; Joe Dimaggio, Joe "Ducky"Medwick, Lefty Gomez, Paul Waner, Carl Hubbell, Bob Feller, Mel Ott, Luke Sewell, Charlie Gehringer, "Gabby" Hartnett, Joe Cronin and Louis Fette!!! The cover has a large tear that is taped on the inside.

Offered here is a vintage magazine, "The Saturday Evening Post - August 6, 1938". The cover art is by Paul Hesse. This issue contains a portion of a story about Jack London with photos. The back cover has a GREAT add for Wheaties featuring Joe Dimagio swinging the bat and scoring a run off a home run. It also has Ellsworth Vines playing tennis, Joanna De Ruscan - fencing champion, and Lenore Kight Wingard - diving champ, and an early story by Howard Fast. It also contains numerous B & W auto adds and others, plus several color adds, including auto adds in color for International trucks etc etc etc. There are also the typical articles of interest and numeorus serial stories. The front and back cover both have chips etc, large on back cover and last page.
Offered here is a vintage large format rag, ragtime waltz sheet, "Varsity Days - An Original College Rag-Time Waltz - by C. M. "Bo" Foss {"The Star Quarterback of the Ohio State University"}, Published in Ohio Colors as a Companion Piece to Men of Yost [which we also have offered - see two-steps]. The Dickens Company, Publisher, 1902. What a GREAT cover! It has light dirtiness on the surface of the heavy paper cover and a name written at the top center. Any white lines from the edges are from reflections on the plastic sleeve the sheet is in. Another very rare sheet.
